Trader, beware! Trading GBP/USD is not as easy as it might seem at the 1st sight. This time I decided to write about trading with GBP pair by means of Fundamental Analysis (financial and other market influencing news). So, the general idea of the article is giving some main ideas about how to trade GBP/USD without extra risk.

GBP pairs trading strategies based on news releases are among the most popular. Thus, it is usually assumed that GBP/USD trading is the most profitable and easy way of earning on Forex. Talking about GBP trading on news releases, there is really nothing complicated – trader should pick from the most volatile news negative or positive and consequently buy or sell! But such simplicity often may become deceiving. Let us consider some angles of GBP/USD trading more precisely and try to give some answers to the question – “how to trade GBP/USD?”

The most popular trading methods used on Forex today belong to Technical Analysis. Technical Analysis on Forex is usually used as a complex of different, mostly graphical methods which are called indicators. Many traders state that namely Technical Analysis methods which consist of indicators, oscillator, moving, etc. help traders to define trends on Forex. Unlike Fundamental analysis that is usually based on financial news releases, Technical Analysis on Forex allows to trade with shortest positions and earn by opening/closing hundreds of deals per day!
As for me, combining Fundamental and Technical Analysis would be the best decision for those who wish to develop his own or study the already existing and efficient trading strategy.

CFD stands for Contact for Difference that is a contract usually made between buyer (Trader) and seller (Brokerage company). The main principle of CFD trading states that the buyer must pay the difference between the value of an asset at the contract time and the current value if the difference is negative. If the difference is positive then the seller (broker) pays instead and the buyer (trader) gets his income.

Due to the significant changes in our database structure and rating algorithm we decided to null (reset) all the previous broker rating related data. From now on positions of featured brokers displayed on the main page (broker-rates.com) will be arranged with correspondence to the total amount of votes along with negative and positive vote results. Regarding previous algorithm total amount of votes was not evaluated, thus not comparable results were used in arrangement of the featured brokers (e.g. Alpari UK received 6 positive and 4 negative votes while FXDD received only 1 positive vote that surely made such data incomparable due to the significant difference of total votes).
